Introduction

“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” (Acts 1 v 8)

As a church, we are committed to playing our part in obedience to Jesus’ command to share our faith in our local community and also to actively go to other countries of the world and get involved in cross cultural mission. Our vision is to give all our members the opportunity to go on world mission and experience first hand what God is doing in other parts of the world. We see this as part of on-going discipleship and service to God. In addition, we seek to pray and raise money for parts of the world in specific need throughout the year and especially at Christmas time to share the abundance of resources God has blessed us with in the UK.

Over the past few years, we have felt God’s call to go to and /or support countries in Europe including Spain and have also gone further afield to Argentina, Barbados and Nagaland. We also have strong connections with Paraclete Christian Network International, a small locally based charity which works in Spain, Nagaland and Zimbabwe. Alongside all this, we have welcomed people from other countries to come and volunteer among us – including people from Uganda, Hungary, Nagaland, Brazil and USA. As a congregation, we seek to have an international perspective and are delighted to have a number of different nationalities represented in the congregation including people from Sierra Leone, Barbados, USA, South Africa, Germany, Bulgaria, Switzerland, India, Venezuela, Brazil and Hungary.
